About Mike Bell

I'm a designer based in East Sussex, UK, who shifted from show and event design to creating unique tube-style maps during lockdown. What started as a way to keep my mind engaged while combating a neurological misdiagnosis(!) has become my passion project.

My maps transform complex stories into visually engaging journeys. Whether charting a band's history (like my sixteen-attempt odyssey mapping The Fall's chaotic line-ups), exploring film plots, or diving into other cultural narratives, each map distils intricate information into something beautiful and easy to follow.

I create transit-style maps that tell stories through visual design. Each musician becomes a line, each album a station stop, making complex histories simple to navigate. My maps turn overwhelming information into clear, engaging art prints that ship globally.
