In short: A Beatles discography tube map art print in a black-background edition that draws every credited musician as a tube line, with Please Please Me, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Abbey Road as the stations where those lines converge. A perfect gift for Beatles fans and collectors, ready to frame and give.

Giclée on 230gsm textured matte fine art paper, archival and acid-free. Produced in A1 only, unframed or in a black wooden frame. Hand-researched and designed by me in East Sussex.

I designed this Beatles discography map so every credited musician runs as their own named line, calling at each studio album they played on, drawn here on a black background in the style of a classic tube map. The stations run chronologically from the Merseybeat of Please Please Me, through the studio leaps of Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's, to the final records of Abbey Road and Let It Be, with John, Paul, George and Ringo as the core lines and every session player and guest connected across the catalogue. It is wall art for fans who know every take, and a ready-made gift for the collector who wants something more considered than a poster.

Why this Beatles discography tube map art makes a gift fans keep

If you are buying for a Beatles fan, this goes past the obvious present. The black edition is the more dramatic of the two colourways, and because of the density of the session annotations, it is produced in A1 only.

I research every map by hand using liner notes and session archives, so the credits are right, allowing the person receiving it to follow the band's route from Liverpool to the rooftop. It makes a birthday or Christmas gift for the Beatles collector in your life, the kind of present that gets framed and kept rather than opened once and shelved.

Contributing musicians on the map

George Martin's production credit runs as a fifth line alongside the four band members across the whole catalogue. Billy Preston joins as a credited keyboard player on the Let It Be sessions in 1969 and 1970, and the string and brass sections behind songs like "Eleanor Rigby" and "A Day in the Life" appear as distinct branch lines on the later albums.

How I make each print

Each one is a Giclée on 230gsm premium fine art paper with a textured matte finish, archival and acid-free, so the colours hold for years. The black edition is produced in A1, unframed or supplied in a black wooden frame, ready to hang as an art print in a hallway, living room, or studio.

FAQ

Why is this edition only available in A1?
The density of the session and guest musician annotations needs the larger format to stay legible.

Is George Martin included on the map?
Yes, his production credit runs as a fifth line across every album.

What is different about this edition?
It is the same research and layout as the standard print, produced on a black background for a more dramatic colourway.
