A gift for George Harrison fans who can name All Things Must Pass and go blank on the other eleven, because this maps the whole solo run with every credited musician as their own line. They own the records already. This is the only place the whole thing sits in one piece.

Giclée on 230gsm premium fine art paper, textured matte, archival and acid-free. Available in A2 or A1, with US sizing at 24x18in and 36x24in, unframed or framed. Deeply researched and designed by me in East Sussex.

I drew this one so that each credited musician calls at every album they played on, in the style of a classic tube map. The stations run chronologically from the 1968 soundtrack Wonderwall Music to Brainwashed, finished and released after his death in 2002.

Why this George Harrison discography tube map art makes a gift fans keep

The first station is not a rock record at all. Wonderwall Music is largely Indian classical, and the map opens with sarod, santoor, surbahar, shehnai and tabla players before a single electric guitar appears.

By the end the same map is carrying Jeff Lynne, Elton John and Harrison's own son. The full story on your wall.

Contributing musicians on the map

George Harrison runs all twelve stations. Ringo Starr is on six of them, which makes his the longest guest line on the print, and Jim Keltner and Ray Cooper are close behind.

Wonderwall Music brings in Aashish Khan on sarod, Shivkumar Sharma on santoor and Mahapurush Misra on tabla, alongside Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr and Tommy Reilly on harmonica.

All Things Must Pass is the busiest station and reads like a cast list. Clapton, Klaus Voormann, Billy Preston, Bobby Whitlock, Carl Radle, Jim Gordon, Dave Mason, Peter Frampton, Pete Drake on pedal steel and all four members of Badfinger, with Ginger Baker drumming on I Remember Jeep and Phil Collins on congas on Art of Dying.

Dark Horse widens again, pulling in Tom Scott, Willie Weeks, Andy Newmark, Robben Ford, Alvin Lee and Ronnie Wood. Extra Texture adds David Foster, Jesse Ed Davis and a vocal from Ronnie Spector.

The most remarkable station is Somewhere in England in 1981. All Those Years Ago, written for John Lennon, carries Harrison, Ringo Starr on drums, and Paul McCartney singing backing vocals with Linda McCartney and Denny Laine.

Cloud Nine brings in Jeff Lynne, and with him Elton John, Eric Clapton and Ringo Starr again. Brainwashed closes the map with Dhani Harrison playing across most of it, Jools Holland and Jon Lord on piano, and Bickram Ghosh on tabla, which brings the print back round to where it started.

How I make each print

Each one is a Giclée on 230gsm premium fine art paper with a textured matte finish, archival and acid-free, so the colours hold for years. Choose A2 or A1, unframed or framed, ready to hang in a hallway, living room or studio.

FAQ

How many albums are on the map?
Twelve, from Wonderwall Music in 1968 to Brainwashed in 2002.

Which album has the most credited musicians?
All Things Must Pass, by a clear margin.

Do the other Beatles appear?
Ringo Starr on six albums, and Paul McCartney on Somewhere in England, singing on All Those Years Ago.

Why does the first album look so different?
Because Wonderwall Music is largely an Indian classical soundtrack, recorded partly in Bombay with classical players rather than a rock band.

Is Dhani Harrison on the map?
Yes, playing across most of Brainwashed, which he helped finish.

What are the framing options?
Unframed, or supplied framed and ready to hang.
