EMPTY DOM REMOVE PROTECTOR

In short: An OMD discography tube map art print that charts the studio albums as a London Underground map, with stations for Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Architecture & Morality, Dazzle Ships and the later records along the line. A considered gift for OMD fans and music lovers, ready to frame and give. Giclée on 230gsm textured matte fine art paper, archival and acid-free. Available in A2 or A1 (US sizing 24x18in and 36x24in), unframed or in a black wooden frame. Hand-researched and designed by me in East Sussex.

I designed this OMD discography map so the studio albums run as a single line, each one its own station, drawn in the style of a classic tube map. The route moves from the synth-pop debut Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, through Architecture & Morality and the experimental Dazzle Ships, to the later records. It is wall art for fans who know the deep cuts, and a ready-made gift for anyone who came in through the singles.

Why this OMD discography tube map art makes a gift fans keep

If you are buying for an OMD fan, this goes past the obvious present. I research every map by hand, checking release dates and running order so the line is right, which lets the person receiving it follow the band's route across the decades. It makes a birthday or Christmas gift for the OMD fan in your life, the kind of present that gets framed and kept rather than opened once and shelved.

Contributing musicians on the map

Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys run as the constant line across every studio album, with Malcolm Holmes on drums and Martin Cooper on keyboards and saxophone featuring across most of the catalogue. Junk Culture in 1984 carries a genuinely notable credit: Tony Visconti, David Bowie's longtime producer, provided brass arrangements on "Locomotion" and "All Wrapped Up."

How I make each print

Each one is a Giclée on 230gsm premium fine art paper with a textured matte finish, archival and acid-free, so the colours hold for years. Choose A2 or A1, unframed or supplied in a black wooden frame, ready to hang as art prints in a hallway, living room or studio.

Size UK USA / CAN / AUS equivalent Orientation
A2 594 x 420 mm (23 x 16 in) 24 x 18 in Landscape
A1 841 x 594 mm (33 x 23 in) 36 x 24 in Landscape
