Step into the dramatic world of Formula One 1986 with this detailed, data-inspired tube map. My visual print transforms an unforgettable racing season into an engaging journey, perfect for motorsport fans and lovers of bold design.

Rather than relying on race stats or standings alone, the Formula One 1986 season tube map connects each driver, team, and Grand Prix like stations on a transit line. Consequently, it unveils the rivalries, storylines, and key shifts that defined the year.

What Makes My Formula One 1986 Map Special?

The 1986 Formula One season is remembered for its intense title battle between Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell, and Nelson Piquet. With the championship decided in the final race, every Grand Prix played a pivotal role. This map captures the tension, drama, and strategic shifts in a visually unique way.

Key Features:

  • Data-Driven Layout: Tracks Grand Prix results, winners, and team performances with visual clarity.
  • Educational & Engaging: Shows how drivers and teams progressed throughout the season.
  • High-Quality Print: Printed on premium UK-made art paper with rich colour and fine detail.
  • Ideal for Collectors: A must-have for Formula One fans, racing historians, and data visualisation enthusiasts.
  • Display-Ready: Choose flat (A3 and under) or rolled (A2+) for easy framing in your home or workspace.

A Unique Tribute to the 1986 Formula One Season

Mike Bell of mikebellmaps - music and film plot map designer

About the Creator — Mike Bell

I am Mike Bell, a designer based in East Sussex and the founder of Mike Bell Maps. I spent many years working on live events, designing stage builds and providing technical production. When the live events world paused under lockdowns, I turned my energy and experience to something different: transforming music and story history into visual art.

With Mike Bell Maps, I create detailed, transit-style maps that chart studio albums, collaborations and narrative journeys across decades. My first music map - The Fall - went through sixteen versions before it felt right. This dedication exemplifies the level of research, care and attention I bring to every art print.

Each map I offer is grounded in fundamental research: liner notes, archival credits, interviews and fan archives. My tube maps do more than look good. They turn complex histories - of bands, albums, collaborators, even film plots or cultural movements - into clear, beautiful art prints that tell stories.

Whether collected for love of music, film or cultural history, every piece ships globally, carefully produced and packaged, and crafted to last. My aim is always to combine authority, artistry and authenticity so that each map is as trustworthy and meaningful as it is visually striking.

If you are browsing any art print here on my site, you are interacting with work built from experience, rigorous research and a passion for storytelling through design.
