A gift for Taylor Swift fans who own both versions of everything and still cannot see what actually changed between them, because this puts the originals and the re-recordings on one network. They own the records already. The touring band runs right through the Taylor's Versions, and the producer of the first five albums appears on none of them.

Giclée on 230gsm premium fine art paper, textured matte, archival and acid-free. Produced in A1 only, with US sizing at 36 x 24 in, unframed or framed. Deeply researched and designed by me in East Sussex.

I plot these in CAD software. Every credited musician becomes a transit line, every album becomes a station, and anyone who appears only once gets a branch line of their own.

Fifteen stations run chronologically from the 2006 debut to The Tortured Poets Department, with the four Taylor's Version re-recordings in their release positions rather than alongside the originals.

Why this Taylor Swift discography tube map art makes a gift fans keep

Three distinct crews built this catalogue, and the map shows the handovers. A Nashville session team, then a pop production camp, then the Aaron Dessner circle.

Each one arrives, takes over and leaves a visible seam. The full story on your wall.

Contributing musicians on the map

Taylor Swift is credited on all fifteen albums, and the map tracks how her own credits change from vocals and acoustic guitar to writer, producer and executive producer.

Nathan Chapman is the first long line. He produces and plays on the debuts of Fearless, Speak Now, Red, and 1989, and then stops. His line does not reach a single re-recording.

The 2006 debut is a Nashville session record, with a full country crew including Bruce Bouton on dobro, Dan Dugmore on pedal steel, Rob Hajacos on fiddle and Jeffrey Hyde on banjo. Fearless credits eight separate people with finger snapping, including Colbie Caillat.

The touring band is the thread that makes the re-recordings work on the map. Amos Heller, Mike Meadows, Paul Sidoti, Caitlin Evanson, Liz Huett, and Jonathan Yudkin play on the early albums and return to recut them a decade later.

Max Martin and Shellback take over around Red and 1989. Jack Antonoff joined in 1989 and then appeared on every station after it, which makes him the second longest line on the print.

Folklore hands the record to Aaron Dessner and much of The National, with Bryce Dessner, Bryan Devendorf, Benjamin Lanz, James McAlister, Josh Kaufman and Clarice Jensen all joining the map there.

Red (Taylor's Version) is the densest station of all, with forty seven credited musicians. Elsewhere, the branch lines pick up Ed Sheeran, Imogen Heap, Gary Lightbody, Future, Brendon Urie, Annie Clark and the Dixie Chicks.

FAQ

Are the Taylor's Version albums on the map?
Yes. Fearless, Red, Speak Now and 1989 all appear as their own stations in the year they were released.

Who produced the early albums?
Nathan Chapman, across the first five. He is not credited on any of the re-recordings.

Which album has the most credited musicians?
Red (Taylor's Version) in 2021, with forty-seven.

Who is on the most albums after Taylor Swift?
Jack Antonoff, credited on every album from 1989 onwards.

Does the touring band appear?
Yes, and that is one of the more interesting shapes on the print. Several of them play on both the original and its re-recording.

What are the framing options?
Unframed, or supplied framed and ready to hang.
