In short: A Stranglers discography tube map art print that charts the studio albums as a London Underground map, with stations for Rattus Norvegicus, No More Heroes, The Raven and La Folie along the line. A considered gift for Stranglers fans and music lovers, ready to frame and give. Giclée on 230gsm textured matte fine art paper, archival and acid-free. Available in A2 or A1 (US sizing 24x18in and 36x24in), unframed or in a black wooden frame. Hand-researched and designed by me in East Sussex.

I designed this Stranglers discography map so the studio albums run as a single line, each one its own station, drawn in the style of a classic tube map. The route moves from the punk debut Rattus Norvegicus and No More Heroes, through the ambitious The Raven, to La Folie and the later records. It is wall art for fans who know the deep cuts, and a ready-made gift for anyone who came in through the singles.

Why this Stranglers discography tube map art makes a gift fans keep

If you are buying for a Stranglers fan, this goes past the obvious present. I research every map by hand, checking release dates and running order so the line is right, which lets the person receiving it follow the band's route across the decades. It makes a birthday or Christmas gift for the Stranglers fan in your life, the kind of present that gets framed and kept rather than opened once and shelved.

Contributing musicians on the map

Hugh Cornwell, Jean-Jacques Burnel, Dave Greenfield and Jet Black form the original line-up running through the classic run of albums, with Cornwell's line ending after 10 in 1990. Black and Blue in 1979 carries an unexpected guest credit from the British jazz singer and broadcaster George Melly, alongside saxophone from Lora Logic of X-Ray Spex, two names rarely associated with punk's front rank.

How I make each print

Each one is a Giclée on 230gsm premium fine art paper with a textured matte finish, archival and acid-free, so the colours hold for years. Choose A2 or A1, unframed or supplied in a black wooden frame, ready to hang as art prints in a hallway, living room or studio.

Size UK USA / CAN / AUS equivalent Orientation
A2 594 x 420 mm (23 x 16 in) 24 x 18 in Landscape
A1 841 x 594 mm (33 x 23 in) 36 x 24 in Landscape
