Bruce Springsteen is an American singer-songwriter and musician, best known as the lead vocalist and bandleader of the E Street Band. He is known for his poetic and socially conscious lyrics, and his energetic live performances. Springsteen's early work was heavily influenced by the singer-songwriter and rock and roll traditions, and he gained widespread critical and commercial success with his breakthrough album "Born to Run" in 1975. He continues to be active in music since then, releasing multiple albums and touring throughout his career.

Springsteen's best-known songs include "Born to Run," "Thunder Road," "Badlands," "The River," "Born in the U.S.A.," "Dancing in the Dark," and "Streets of Philadelphia." He has also been known for his politically and socially conscious material throughout his career, tackling issues of poverty, race, and the struggles of the working class in America.

Springsteen has won 20 Grammy Awards, 2 Golden Globes, an Academy Award and a Tony Award and is often referred to as the "The Boss." He has a large and dedicated fanbase and is widely considered one of the greatest songwriters and performers in rock history.
