About Bob Marley & the Wailers:
Bob Marley was a Jamaican singer-songwriter, musician, and guitarist who was a central figure in the development of reggae music. He was the lead singer, songwriter and guitarist for the band "Bob Marley and the Wailers" (1963-1981).
Marley's songs were deeply influenced by the political and social issues of his home country, and he is known for promoting a message of peace, love, and unity through his music.
Some of his most famous songs include "I Shot the Sheriff," "No Woman, No Cry," "Exodus," "Jamming," "Redemption Song" and "One Love." He released 13 studio albums during his career, his most well-known album is "Exodus" which was named album of the century by Time magazine in 1999.
Marley died of cancer in 1981 at the age of 36, but his music continues to be widely celebrated and his influence on music is still felt to this day. He was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994, and he is widely regarded as one of the most iconic and important figures in the history of popular music.
