About Nirvana / Foo Fighters:

Nirvana was an American rock band formed by singer/guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic in Aberdeen, Washington in 1987. The band was known for its raw, unpolished sound and lyrics that often dealt with personal and social issues.

They released three studio albums, "Bleach" (1989), "Nevermind" (1991), and "In Utero" (1993), before Cobain's death in 1994. The band's third album "In Utero" is considered to be a more abrasive and experimental record than their previous album "Nevermind" which was a commercial hit. "Nevermind" which had the hit single "Smells Like Teen Spirit" helped to popularize the alternative rock genre and bring it into the mainstream.

Nirvana is considered one of the most influential and important bands of the 1990s, and their music continues to be celebrated by fans around the world.

Foo Fighters is an American rock band formed in 1994 by singer/guitarist Dave Grohl. Grohl had previously been the drummer for the band Nirvana and formed Foo Fighters as a way to continue making music following the death of Nirvana's lead singer Kurt Cobain. The band's name is derived from the term "foo fighter," which was used to describe unidentified flying objects during World War II.

The band's debut album, "Foo Fighters," was released in 1995, and was mostly recorded by Grohl himself, except for one song that featured guest musicians. The band quickly gained popularity and has since released several more albums, including "The Colour and the Shape" (1997), "There Is Nothing Left to Lose" (1999), "One by One" (2002), "In Your Honor" (2005), "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace" (2007), "Wasting Light" (2011), "Sonic Highways" (2014), "Concrete and Gold" (2017) and "Medicine at Midnight" (2021), "But Here We Are" (2023).

The band is known for its energetic live shows and sound that combine elements of rock, punk, and alternative music. They have also won multiple Grammy Awards, and are still active and touring, even after the early death of their drummer Taylor Hawkins in March 2022.
