FRAMING - INFORMATION & SPECIFICATIONS
My picture frames are made in Germany from FSC®-certified wood. The wood comes from sustainably managed forests that meet the Forest Stewardship Council's criteria. The Oak frames are solid wood from FSC®-certified sources with an Oak veneer.
Glass materials
The majority of the frame windows are made of edge-ground float glass with a UV filter of approximately 45%.
For the extra-large A1 sizes (60x80cm), I use a very high-quality 3mm clear acrylic to prevent damage during transit. The frames are also equipped with an acid-free insert and a sturdy rear panel.
Frame & mount colours
There is are now two frame colours - Black & White. These sit over the frame glass/ acrylic (A1 , see above) and on top of a White mount to keep the print away from the glass/acrylic.
Frame dimensions
For each of the A-sizes, the dimensions of the wood moulding are the same.These dimensions are 25mm in depth and 16mm in width.
Hanging fixtures
The hanging type fixture on the reverse panel is ‘Nail hanging’. The frame is equipped with hangers in portrait and landscape formats.
High-quality components are used:
- edge-ground float glass
- acid-free insert
- FSC® -certified pine wood moulding (license code: FSC® C021405)
- FSC®-certified backing board made of sturdy MDF with hangers in portrait and landscape format
- Made in Germany
