The stations run chronologically from Three Imaginary Boys in 1979 to Songs of a Lost World in 2024. One-off contributors branch off as short spurs.

Contributing musicians on the map
Robert Smith is the only musician credited on all 14 albums, from the 1979 debut to Songs of a Lost World.
Lol Tolhurst has the saddest line on the print. He drums on the first four albums, switches to keyboards for the next three, and on Disintegration is credited only with “other instrument” before his line stops altogether.
Simon Gallup's bass has exactly one gap. He is absent from The Top in 1984 and returns for The Head on the Door, then stays to the end.
Porl Thompson comes and goes twice, playing on the debut, disappearing for four albums, returning for the mid-1980s run through to Wish, and reappearing once more on 4:13 Dream.
Wild Mood Swings in 1996 is where the map balloons. A brass and string section arrives all at once, including trumpeters Jesus Alemany, Sid Gauld, John Barclay, Steve Dawson and Steve Sidwell, with arrangements from Audrey Riley and Will Gregory, later of Goldfrapp.
The later band settles around Jason Cooper on drums, Roger O'Donnell on keyboards, and Perry Bamonte on guitar across the last five albums. Reeves Gabrels, once David Bowie's guitarist, joins for Songs of a Lost World.
4:13 Dream carries two of the best credits in the catalogue: extra percussion by Smud, and handclaps by the Catsfield Sub Rhythm Trio.
