Ian McCulloch and Will Sergeant carry the map between them, but neither is on every record. McCulloch is absent from Reverberation in 1990, where Noel Burke sings instead, and that is the clearest break anywhere on the print.

Pete de Freitas drums on the first five albums, and his line ends there. Les Pattinson's bass covers the early run and returns for the late-1990s records.

The 1987 self-titled album carries two credits nobody expects on the same record. Ray Manzarek of The Doors plays keyboards on Bedbugs and Ballyhoo, and Stephen Morris of Joy Division and New Order plays drums on a cover of Soul Kitchen.

Elizabeth Fraser of the Cocteau Twins appears twice, singing on Candleland and again on the Electrafixion album, and Boris Williams of The Cure drums on two Candleland tracks.

Liam Gallagher sings backing vocals on Nothing Lasts Forever from Evergreen, and the Fun Lovin' Criminals guest on two tracks of Flowers alongside Guy Pratt on bass.

Siberia in 2005 is the busiest station on the map, with 13 credited musicians, including Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland of Coldplay, and the actor John Simm, who plays electric guitar on Sliding.
