Frequently Asked Questions - About the Tube Maps

What Do My Tube Map Art Prints Show?

These tube map art prints plot the unique story of the subject - whether that's a musician's complete studio album history and collaborators, or a film's complete plot structure - laid out in a tube map-style visual system.

Albums or key narrative moments are shown as stations, with people or characters connected through clear, logical lines. Each map is designed to show the whole picture, not just a single image or moment.

How accurate is the information?

Every map is built from detailed research across official credits, liner notes, interviews, and archival references. Accuracy and clarity are central to how I work, and every map is checked and refined before it goes to print.

Who designs these maps?

I research and design every map myself, here in the UK. I'm an obsessive fan first — each map starts with the music or the film, not a template. This is original, independent work, not mass-produced artwork.

What makes these different from a standard poster?

Unlike typical posters that focus on imagery alone, my tube maps visualise structure, relationships, and timelines. They're designed to reward close inspection and long-term viewing - many buyers describe them as both artwork and reference pieces. For a full breakdown of the differences, see how my prints compare to standard music posters.

What quality are the prints?

Every print is produced on 305gsm Hahnemühle Photo Rag - an archival-grade, acid-free giclée paper designed for 100+ years of colour stability. The result is sharp detail, rich colour, and a print made for permanent display rather than short-term decoration. Full paper and frame specifications are here.

Are framed options available?

Yes. Most designs are available as unframed prints or as professionally framed, ready-to-hang pieces in FSC®-certified frames made in Germany. Available options are shown clearly on each product page.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Orders are shipped worldwide and carefully packaged to protect the artwork in transit. Shipping options and delivery estimates are shown at checkout.

Is this a good gift for music or film fans?

These maps make a gift that rewards closer inspection long after it's unwrapped. Because each one is grounded in a subject the recipient already loves — a favourite band, album era, or film - they feel personal and considered rather than generic wall art.
