ll A gift for Manic Street Preachers fans who have never looked closely at who else is on these records, because this runs through all 15 albums, with every credited musician on their own line. They already own the records, and the guest list runs from a Velvet Underground founder to a Guns N' Roses bassist to a Berlin pub choir.
Giclée on 230gsm premium fine art paper, textured matte, archival and acid-free. Produced unframed or framed. Deeply researched and designed by me in East Sussex.
I plot these in CAD software. Every credited musician becomes a transit line, every album becomes a station, and anyone who appears only once gets a branch line of their own.
The stations run chronologically from Generation Terrorists in 1992 to Critical Thinking in 2025. Guest musicians branch off as short spurs.
Why this Manic Street Preachers discography tube map art makes a gift fans keep
Three lines run the entire length, which is rare enough. The fourth is the one that matters, and where it stops is the most affecting thing on the print.
Around them, the guest spurs are wildly unlikely for a band this consistent. It rewards every closer look.
Contributing musicians on the map
James Dean Bradfield, Sean Moore and Nicky Wire are credited on all 15 albums. Richey Edwards runs beside them for the first four and no further.
The debut already carries a startling credit. Traci Lords sings on Little Baby Nothing, with Spike Edney, Queen's long-serving touring keyboardist, playing on the same track.
Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine plays guitar on one track of Know Your Enemy, and Nina Persson of the Cardigans sings the second lead on Your Love Alone Is Not Enough.
Postcards from a Young Man in 2010 is the most crowded and least likely station on the whole map. John Cale plays keyboards and noise on Auto-Intoxication, Duff McKagan of Guns N' Roses plays bass on another track, and Ian McCulloch of Echo and the Bunnymen sings co-lead on Some Kind of Nothingness.
The Welsh-language and European records further broaden it. Richard Hawley, Cate Le Bon and Lucy Rose all sing on Rewind the Film, and Futurology brings in Green Gartside of Scritti Politti, the German actor Nina Hoss, harpist Georgia Ruth, Cian Ciaran of Super Furry Animals, and the Berliner Kneipenchor.
Nick Nasmyth is the quiet constant behind all of it, playing keyboards across most of the catalogue.
How do I make each print?
Each one is a Giclée on 230gsm premium fine art paper with a textured matte finish, archival and acid-free, so the colours hold for years. Choose A2 or A1, unframed or framed, ready to hang in a hallway, living room or studio.
| Size | UK | USA / CAN / AUS equivalent | Orientation |

| A1 | 841 x 594 mm (33 x 23 in) | 36 x 24 in | Landscape |
