About Blade Runner:

Blade Runner is a 1982 science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, and Sean Young. The film is set in a dystopian future in which advanced robots called "Replicants" are used for dangerous or menial work on Earth and other off-world colonies. Ford plays the role of Rick Deckard, a "Blade Runner" who is tasked with hunting down and "retiring" (killing) rogue Replicants.

The film is based on the novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick. Blade Runner has become a cult classic and is considered one of the greatest science fiction films of all time, known for its futuristic depiction of a sprawling, neon-lit metropolis and its thought-provoking exploration of the nature of humanity and the soul. it is also known for its cinematography, visual effects and its use of the Film Noir genre.
