They run alongside each other from 1969 onwards, alternating.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe shape changes as well. The early stations are bands of four or five, and the later solo ones are one man plus whoever he invites. Brian Bennett is next, holding the drum chair from the second album for more than twenty stations, and Bruce Welch runs the rhythm guitar line across the Shadows records.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe original rhythm section barely appears. Tony Meehan plays on the first album only, and Jet Harris on the first two, which makes theirs two of the shortest lines on a print covering five decades.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBrian \"Licorice\" Locking and then John Rostill took the bass through the 1960s, with Rostill recording six albums.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe solo records completely change the map's shape.
